The New Covenant through the Blood of Jesus

On 17th April, 2025 the Rt Rev. Dr Abednego Keshomshahara visited the Kanyangereko Parish and led  the holy mass to comemorated the mound thursday.
In the sermon the bishop urged church members to persist in faith through Jesus whose blood was shed to provide salvation for all and liberate them from sins power.
Hevreminded church members how Christ left two very important things: One he left the word of God (Bible) for our reference and sacraments for our cleansing.

The bishop urged church members to do away with sins which again may separate them with God.
The mound Thursday worship service commemorates the beginning of the sacrament of the eucharist as reflected in Lk 22: 14-20.

Normally the bishop in the NWD serves the Kanyangereko parish every mound thursday, a good practice which was started by the late Bishop Dr Josiah Kubira, by then, for the sake of serving the congregation and opening the Easter Conference for the youth association (UKWATA) which was normally organized at Ntoma Home Craft School. The successor Bishops maintained that good practice until now. We are grateful for that.
