NOMINATED CANDIDATES FOR THE BISHOPRIC POST (FIFTH PHASE).

 The North Western Diocese Executive Committee No.334 met at Ntoma Mother House on March 31st /2015- April 01st / 2015. The committee selected three names of Reverends whose names will be voted by the Synod delegates on June 2nd / 2015 at Kibeta English Medium Primary School (KEMPS) in order to come up with one Reverend who will be the diocesan Bishop for the fifth phase.  The names nominated are Rev.Dr. Abednego Nkamuhabwa Keshomshahara, Rev.Dr. Josephat Alphonce Rweyemamu and Rev.Amos Kamugisha Mushendwa.  This has been done following the retiring preparations of the Bishop Elisa Buberwa on October 2015. The following is a brief clarification of Candidates,

Rev.Dr Abednego Nkamuhabwa Keshomshahara was born on Feb 2nd / 1969 in Ngando Village and Parish respectively, in Kasikazini B church District.  He was ordained a pastor on December 14th / 1997; he holds a PhD in Systematic Theology.Currently he is working at Josiah Kibira University College of Tumaini Makumira (JoKUCo) as Lecturer and Assistant provost for administration.Rev. Dr Keshomshahara is married to Melisa they are blessed with two children.

 

 

Rev.Dr Josephat Alphonce Rweyemamu was born on 1968 in Mishenye village, Rubale Parish in Magharibi church District. He was ordained a pastor on January 10th / 1999. He holds a PhD in Missiological theology from Steltenbosch university in the republic of South Africa.Currently he is working as a Lecturer at Silliman University in the Philippines. He is married and  has three children. 

 

 

Rev. Amos Kamugisha Mushendwa was born on March 18th /1970 in Ruhanga- Kamachumu , Ndolage Parish in Kati church district. He was ordained a pastor on December 14/ 1997. He holds a master Degree in Community Economic Development (MCED) from the Open University of Tanzania.

Currently he serving as Secretary for World Student Christian Federation – (WSCF Africa Region) with the head quarters in Nairobi Kenya. Rev. Amos is married to Melisa and they are blessed with three children.

 

The North Western Diocese General Secretary, Rev. Elmereck Kigembe in clarifying this process said ‘’This is a Constitutional procedure, so done purposely to call upon the attention of congregants to pray for the appointed names, so that God may choose one of them to assume the Bishopric responsibility in the NWD’’

The installation of the new Bishop will be officially done on October 18th / 2015 at the Cathedral Church in Bukoba town.
